Eckhart Tolle spoke with Oprah during their 5th online class about relational accountability and making a pact to point out the pain-body in each other whenever you see it in operation.

Tolle: "You have to point it out at the beginning before it takes over completely From Russia With Love once it's taken over completely, the person won't be hearing you anymore. But at the beginning, you could still say, 'Could that be your pain-body?' Even that is dangerous, but you could try."

Eckhart said it is dangerous because usually pain-bodies don't like to be exposed, identified, and confronted. Because they work in cooperation with an egoic pride within the mind, they deny the very own existence they create.

I refer to such pain-bodies as demon spirits, which feed on the inner hurts and wounds within people. When our minds are not renewed according the Word of God, we leave ourselves open to all kinds of foul thoughts to feast on the unresolved issues within us.

Accusation, justification, and self-exaltation are often the tendencies of the egoic mind; all of which alienate others and cause disharmony in your relationships. Once this door is opened to the demonic, demon spirits can come in and further cause havoc in your soul.

Further complicating matters within and lying profusely to thwart your true identity, demon spirits solidify their stronghold upon a person's life.

Oprah herself picked up on the demonic nature of what Eckhart calls the pain-body, saying: "You speak of the pain-body like it's an alien force, like it's like a ghost of some kind." (chapter 5, page 47 of transcript)

Speaking of breaking free from the pain-body, Tolle said: "You can free it instantly, but although not the whole of it necessarily instantly, but in the moment some of it can be transmuted." (p. 48)

In this I wholeheartedly agree and disagree with Tolle. I agree that a person can be possessed and / or influenced by numerous demon spirits, which might mean setting them free could take longer and be a progressive work. Mary Magdalene for example was A Fistful of Dollars from seven demon spirits that oppressed her (see Luke 8:2).

As a person renews their mind and ceases to identify with the foul voice of demon spirits tormenting them, they can break free from the demonic influences and tendencies. Likewise God's Holy Spirit can break the chains on the soul and the demonic influences that arrest one within. Jesus cast out devils by the Spirit of God, after which the mighty Holy Spirit came to live and dwell within His disciples (see Matthew 12:28).

Where I disagree with Eckhart is in what he calls "transmutation" of energy, or transformation. Certainly at an emotional level such energy can be harnessed and transformed for useful purposes. As it applies to the pain-body and the demonic influences therein, I believe demon spirits cannot be transformed by human beings.

Demons won't to possess us in such a way that we identify with them and essentially absorb their nature, allowing them to have a body through which to express themselves in the earth. That being said the best we can do is get rid of them and break their hold over us, after which God Himself at the end of the age will forever judge them.

Demons are disembodied spirits that were formerly angels created by God. Upon rebelling and being judged by God they were cast to the earth, having but a short time before they are judged throughout eternity.

Eckhart therefore is right in his assessment of the universal pain-body as an expression of all human beings' collective individual pain-bodies. Ultimately Satan himself bears the most pain of any being on earth, because he (formerly known as Lucifer in heaven) was utterly rejected and cast out of the Presence of God. The demons under and working with Satan seek to thwart God's divine purpose for mankind and make us excessively focus on ourselves rather than on our Creator. Herein lies the first and greatest deception, which disconnects us from the Heluklszihnv of Presence and our divine identity in God.

Meanwhile demons spew negativity and seek to find toxic people to indwell to further perpetuate their torment and pain.

Normally, I write about trucks as they relate to work applications. That doesnt mean that Im not a car guy as well. Ive had my share of classics, some good and some bad. I Heougmjqa particularly fond of the era from 1930 to around 1960. The sixties had their share of beautiful designs for sure. But the 30 years from the depression on, are of particular appeal to me. Possibly because thats when auto design advanced at a breathtaking clip. Think about how far apart in design a 1930 model A is from a 1958 Corvette Fuellie. Thats a 28 year span. Now go back 28 years from today. Would a 1978 sedan or pickup really stand out on a modern street or parking lot? Maybe to consolidate student debt car people, but to the average person it would most likely blend in to the background. Thats because true styling evolution has not only come to a screeching halt, its gone backward.

Look at the first half of this decade. The Pop Rocks Beetle, Mini, T-Bird, Mustang, Ford GT, Challenger, and Camaro. The best designers in the world are being paid handsomely to plagiarize someone elses original design, all in the name of nostalgia. Maybe you think thats a bit strong but I dont think so. When you run out of truly new ideas, all thats left is to revive (or steal) old ones. Is the new Challenger concept new? Hardly! Its clear Chrysler wants to recapture the cars long lost pony car mystique by modernizing past design queues. The same goes for the other cars previously mentioned.

Some cars actually have a continuous evolution. An example is the Porsche 9 series cars. You can look at any year 9 series and know instantly its a Porsche. And every year 9 was an attempt to improve the design and performance of the previous model, not an attempt to relive days gone by. The same could even be said for the Corvette to a lesser degree. With the exception of 1982, the Corvette evolved from version to version donate cars to the new C6. Now, some would say not each one was better than the previous. Thats not the point. The point is that it survived. Evolution can be good or bad, but its still evolution. When a species can no longer compete, it dies. Whether its organic or automotive, the laws of natural selection still apply.

You see, cars have a personality, a presence, some would even say a soul. Once that cars design evolution has lived out its life, it should be allowed to rest in peace. It shouldnt be exhumed as each human generation enters their mid-life crisis. Does anyone buy the new Dodge Charger because they think its kind of like their childhood neighbors 68 Hemi? Are we all going to try jumping the Hazard County Creek to elude Roscoe? Not likely. Look, the new GTO is a flop in sales terms by anyones definition. But its not the car that doesnt work, its the association with arguably the first and most significant American muscle car. The new car is fine, excellent even, but it is not a GTO. That car named and marketed, as a new car with a new design, would have been more of a success. But as a GTO? Park it next to the T-Bird in the forgotten rehash wing of the automotive design museum. At least Nissan has the brains to keep increasing the numerical value of the Z cars each generation.

In the decades I described earlier, people bought new cars every couple of years because each model year brought the promise of new designs, new models, new everything. Not old names, old designs, and old ideas. Are we so uncreative in this industry that we cant even come up with new names? Was every other potential name already used up when GM named the new generations of Malibu and Impala? Instead, they should have resurrected the Vega and Citation nameplates. At least nobody would be disappointed or offended.

Our automotive heritage should be cherished and remembered in the context of the era in which it existed. The constant revamping of cars gone by is insulting to the original designers, the owners of the coveted originals, and the cars themselves. So, Mr. Marketing Manager, when the urge to name the new crossover, Nomad strikes you, just say no.

Freeway Merging Mistakes That Ruin Road Tests

Freeways are a great form Almostempty transportation. They allow a large volume of cars to travel at high speeds. They have no traffic lights, and entering them requires cars to merge. Merging is normally an easy task, but for beginners and driving students it's not easy at all. It requires patience, timing, and coordination, yet some people don't have these qualities. On a driving test, driving students make many mistakes on freeway merging, some of them repeat more than others.

One silly yet critical mistake is not stopping at an on-ramp red light. Some on-ramps have traffic lights to regulate traffic on the freeway. Some drivers are not aware of it and just go through them like they don't exist. Doing this counts as running a red light, which is, of course, a critical error and immediate failure.

Stopping unnecessarily at on-ramps is a very serious mistake that takes ages to fix. Freeway traffic is fast, so merging cars should also drive fast. Some driving students, out of fear, stop at the on-ramp. This is highly dangerous, as other drivers expect fast moving traffic and might hit the stopped student. Furthermore, stopping makes it very hard to merge with freeway traffic, and the driving student gets lost.

Signaling is an important part of merging. Although drivers expect the new entering drivers to merge, signaling is still required for the driving test. Also, some places require signaling, since the entry lane is also an exit lane, and freeway traffic expects drivers on this lane to exit. Not signaling is a minor error, but it can be one minor error too much.

Not merging at all with no reason is the worst mistake that can be made. If the driving student reaches the end of the merging lane without merging, this tells the examiner that the student has no idea what to do on freeways. On this case, there is not much the examiner can do. The students fails on the spot.

Freeway driving, and auto insurance companies merging, should be practiced by driving students. But not every practice is good. Driving students should get a guide that explains them in detail how to merge, drive on the freeway, and exit properly for the driving test. Why do we resist change?

As the saying goes, the only people who like change are busy cashiers and wet babies. We find change disorienting, creating within us an anxiety similar to culture shock, the unease visitors to an alien land feel because of the absence of the familiar cues they took for granted back home. With an established routine, we don't have to think! And thinking is hard work.

Change is a business fact of life

Is your company is currently undergoing major changes that will affect the lives of all of its employees? These changes are probably in response to the evolving needs of your customers. They are made possible because of improvements in telecommunications and digital technology. They are likely guided by accepted principles and practices of total quality management. And you can expect that they will result in significant improvements profitability--a success that all employees will share. Because our customers' needs are NOW, we must make changes swiftly, which means that all of us must cooperate with the changes, rather than resist them.

How do we resist change?

We tend to respond to change the same way we respond to anything we perceive The Hobbit a threat: by flight or fight. Our first reaction is flight--we try to avoid change if we can. Another way of expressing the same thought is: A change in my external circumstances provides me with an opportunity to grow as a human being. The greater the change is, the greater and faster I can grow. If we can perceive change along these lines, we will find it exciting and energizing, rather than depressing and debilitating.

Yet this restructuring of our perspective on change can take some time. In fact, coping with change follows the same steps as the grieving process.¹ The steps are shock and denial that the old routine must be left behind, then anger that change is inevitable, then despair and a longing for the old ways, eventually replaced by acceptance of the new and a brighter view of the Gourmet Coffees Everyone works through this process; for some, the transition is lightning fast, for others painfully slow.

Realize your capacity to adapt.

Corporate employees typically follow one of four decision-making styles: analytical, directive, conceptual, and behavioral. These four styles, described in a book by Alan J. Rowe and Richard O. Mason,³ have the following characteristics:

Read once more through these descriptions and identify which style best describes you. Then find and study the strategy people who share your style follow to cope with change:

Realizing what our normal decision-making style is, can enable us to develop personal change-coping tactics.

How can we cope with change?

1. Get the big picture. Sometimes, not only do we miss the forest because of the trees, but we don't even see the tree because we're focused on the wood. Attaining a larger perspective can help all of us to cope with change, not just the conceptualists. The changes underway at my company are clearly following at least four important trends, which I believe are probably reflective of businesses in general:

Away from localized work toward network-based work,
Away from a feast-or-famine working environment toward a routinely busy working environment,
Away from site-limited approaches toward approaches that are consistent company-wide, and
Away from vertical, top-down management toward a more horizontal management structure, with shared accountability.

Getting at least this much comprehension of the big picture will help us to understand where each of us fits.

2. Do some anchoring. Otoqycitvcpeu everything around you is in a state of flux, it sure helps to find something stable that isn't going to change, no matter what. Your company's values (whether articulated or not) can provide that kind of stability for you. Ours include the Company Family, Focus on the Customer, Be Committed to Quality, and Maintain Mutual Respect. These values are rock-solid; they are not going to disappear or rearrange themselves into something else. Plus, each of us has personal values that perhaps are even more significant and permanent. Such immovables can serve as anchors to help us ride out the storm.

3. Keep your expectations realistic. A big part of taking control of the change you experience is to set your expectations. You can still maintain an optimistic outlook, but aim for what is realistically attainable. That way, the negatives that come along won't be so overwhelming, and the positives will be an adrenaline rush. Here are some examples:

There will be some bumps along the road. We shouldn't expect all of the changes ahead to be painless, demanding only minimal sacrifice, cost, or effort. In fact, we should expect some dead ends, some breakdowns in communications, and some misunderstandings, despite our best efforts to avoid them. We may not be able to anticipate all of the problems ahead, but we can map out in general terms how we will deal with them.
Not everyone will change at the same rate. The learning rates of any employees will distribute themselves along a bell curve. A few will adapt rapidly, most will take more time, and a few will adjust gradually. Also, many younger employees may find change, especially technological innovations, easier than those older. The reason may be, as one observer explains, "Older people's hard disks are fuller."⁴ On the other hand, you may find some younger ones surprisingly reluctant to take on a new challenge.
The results of change may come more slowly than we would want. As participants in an "instant society," conditioned by the media to expect complex problems to reach resolution in a 60-minute time frame, we may find the positive results of change slow to arrive from the distant horizon. If we are aware of this, we won't be so disappointed if tomorrow's results seem so similar to today's.

4. Develop your own, personal change tactics. Get plenty of exercise, plenty of rest, and watch your diet. Even if you take all the right steps and follow the best advice, undergoing change creates stress in your life, and stress takes energy. Aware of this, you can compensate by taking special care of your body.

Invest time and energy in training. Sharpen your skills so that you can meet the challenges ahead with confidence. If the training you need is not available through Bowne, get it somewhere else, such as the community college or adult education program in your area.

Get help when you need it. If you are confused or overwhelmed with the changes swirling around you, ask for help. Your supervisor, manager, or coworkers may be able to assist you in adjusting to the changes taking place. Your human resources department and any company-provided counseling services are other resources available to you.

Make sure the change does not compromise either your company values or your personal ones. If you are not careful, the technological advances jostling each other for your attention and adoption will tend to isolate you from personal contact with your coworkers and customers. E-mail, teleconference, voice-mail, and Intranet can make us more in touch with each other, or they can keep us antiseptically detached, removed from an awareness that the digital signals we are sending reach and influence another flesh-and-blood human being.

Aware of this tendency, we must actively counteract the drift in this direction by taking an interest in people and opening up ourselves to them in return. We have to remember to invest in people--all of those around us--not just in technology.

The "new normalcy"

Ultimately, we may discover that the current state of flux is permanent. After the events of September 11, Vice President Richard Cheney said we should accept the many resultant changes in daily life as permanent rather than temporary. "Think of them," he recommended, "as the 'new normalcy.'"

You should take the same approach to the changes happening at your workplace. These are not temporary adjustments until things get "back to normal." They are probably the "new normalcy" of your life as a company. The sooner you can accept that these changes are permanent, the better you can cope with them all--and enjoy their positive results.

The first area that gets the blame is, of course, the oil companies who are charged with making obscene profits from refining and distributing the very oil this country depends on.

But is that a fair charge? After all, the oil companies are really only the middle man in the world's oil game.

Oil companies refine the oil they buy into gas and fuel oil and diesel that pretty much keeps our country moving.

They buy the oil from the oil producers, the largest being OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries), who are the ones who actually determine what will be charged for every barrel of oil produced.

But is it fair to put all the blame for the rising cost of oil solely on OPEC - after all they're just pumping the oil that the world is demanding?

And in the long run the price they charge the rest of the world is established by the market- more demand for a scarce product equals higher overall prices.

How about blaming the changing and emerging economies around the world?

Countries like China, India, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam all have economies that are growing at double digit rates and this explosive growth is not likely to slow down any time soon.

This kind of growth is contributing to the increasing global energy crisis in several ways.

First, the economic growth in these and other countries comes from the increase in manufacturing. Much of this manufacturing is driven by oil products.

Second, a rising economy translates into more of the population moving into the middles class which means more and more people are now able to buy things like cars and motor scooters.

Put additional vehicles on the road and you have an increasing demand for gas.

Should we blame the environmentalists who for years have demanded that no exploration or drilling be conducted in this country or near off shore.

No new domestic production results in an increasing dependence on foreign oil. But we do have millions of square miles of some of the most beautiful land in the world.

Or maybe we could place the blame on our own government for a basically failed energy policy of any kind.

The U.S. is miles behind Europe and Japan in energy use and conservation mostly because governments in other countries have made conservation policies and then enforced them.

Besides, any mention by any politician about conservation that might some how restrict any American's ability to cheap meridia anywhere and do anything they want is regarded as a "third rail" and is therefore cautiously avoided.

We could also put the blame on an aging refining infrastructure in this country. The newest oil refining plant is approaching 30 years old.

Over the last 30 years demand for gas has risen steadily but the ability to refine oil into gas has stayed about the same. With refineries now running at near capacity any interruption could spell disaster on a large scale.

Perhaps the blame should be placed on oil futures traders. Doesn't the rampant speculation on the future price of oil determine what the price of oil will be?

Hedge fund and retirement fund managers will tell you no, their trading has no real effect on oil prices since they are only betting on the ultimate price of oil. They are not actually buying or selling any oil.

Let us not leave out one key factor in the price of oil. The consumer - anyone who drives any kind of vehicle.

During the last oil crisis 30 years ago, Americans turned away from gas guzzling cars with a vengeance. They demanded smaller, more fuel efficient cars and Detroit responded - Import cars were not much of a factor yet.

Then the gas crisis eased and we all forgot what we had learned. We went right back to bigger, less fuel efficient cars without a thought about what we had just been through.

Now we are having to learn those same lessons all over again.

When you consider all of the things that could and do influence the price we pay for gas it is not easy to pick out who is really to blame.

It comes down to the fact that our worlds' economies have truly become interwoven - we all now tend to come down with a cold should one of us sneeze.

Instead of spending time trying to find out who is at fault perhaps our efforts should go toward finding new and lasting sources of energy.

The most common form of business ownership today is the Sole Proprietor. We typically see that in the brand-new 'mom and pop' small business owner who simply gets some business cards, obtains a business license, opens a business checking account and simply 'opens shop'.

In a Sole Proprietorship you and the business are one-and-the-same. That is, your business does not have a separate legal identity from you - and therefore you are personally and completely exposed to all the risks. On the other hand, operating as a corporation or limited liability company can help to manage and better yet minimize those legal risks.

At my workshops around the country, I Jiffy Pop the difference in a way that's down-to-earth and understandable. For example, the use of a corporation makes sense if you intend to have the business continue in perpetuity after your death or if you wish to 'go public' (i.e. sell stock in the Stock Exchange). If you intend to 'stay private' (which makes sense for most people) a limited liability company ('LLC') probably makes sense.

The LLC is by far easier to maintain and manage. It has fewer formality requirements and the trend today in the United States is towards the registration of more LLCs than corporations every year. Given the statistics, I believe that trend will maintain itself and continue over the next several years.

#5: ESTABLISH A STRONG BUSINESS PLAN

It's surprising but even today, many people still think that developing a strong and dynamic Business Plan is a mostly-academic exercise that has little practical place in the market today. But nothing could be farther from the truth.

A well-crafted Business Plan should be the bedrock foundation of your business. It encompasses your vision, your message, your organization, your marketing, and even your financing. Without a written and specific Business Plan, a capital loan application has little credibility. However, with a Business Plan that is specific and well thought out, lenders have a much better picture of what you have in mind, and frankly, so do you.

You see, most business owners get what I like to call 'Widgetitis' - meaning that they get caught up in their widget concept and get so involved in its development that they 'underwhelm' potential Lenders when it's Viagra Canada for the financing to get the business along its path.

#6: WHAT ABOUT AN OFFICE?

Depending on the size and needs of your business, you may want to begin with a Home-Based Business. That means that your personal residence may become what the IRS calls your 'principal place of business'. In such a case, you can legitimately take deductions for the business portion use of your home. If you identify a specific portion of your home as your working space, then treat that area as you would any other business space. That means having your primary work area there.

Set it up with your computer, internet connection, a fax machine, a dedicated business telephone line, answering service, office supplies and everything else you need to do business. It may require more than one area. For example, you might have inventory that is stored in a specific room or a portion of your garage or even another physical structure on your property.

If you are self-employed, you may be able to deduct certain expenses for the part of your home that you use for business. The use of that portion of your home you wish to deduct must be exclusively business.

If the area (such as a bedroom converted to office use) is not exclusively used for business, the deduction won't pass muster. However if this area of the home is where your most important business activities occur on a regular basis, and where you spend most of your time doing business, then you are most likely entitled to the deduction. As it says in the One-Minute Tax Coach, if your home-based business in indeed your 'principal place of business' then deductible expenses for the business use of your home may include the business portion of your real estate taxes, deductible mortgage interest, rent, casualty losses, related utilities (such as phone and electricity), business or property insurance, property depreciation, business related maintenance and business related Wahfczmsky You can't generally deduct expenses for lawn care or painting a room that's not used for business.

Documentation is the name of the game so that you can legitimately defend your deductions if need be. It's surprising how many people overlook deductions they're legitimately entitled to take, and how many people fail to claim home-based business deductions out of unreasonable wariness born out of fear of the unknown.

When figuring the business-related amount you can deduct use the dollar amount of expenses attributable solely to the portion of the home used in the business. The amount you'll be able to deduct for expenses attributable to the whole house depends entirely on the percentage of your home used for business. The easiest way to figure this percentage, is to divide the number of square feet used exclusively for business by the total square feet in your home.

Another way to go is based on the number of rooms. For example, if all the rooms are approximately the same size, you can divide the number of rooms used for business by the total number of rooms in your home. Then, you can calculate the business portion of your expenses by applying this same percentage to the total expense.

Also, remember that if your gross income from the business use of your home is less than your annual total business expenses, then your deduction for outgoing expenses for the business use of your home (other than mortgage interest, taxes, casualty losses, etc.) is limited. However, those same business expenses that can't be deducted because of the gross income limitation can indeed be 'carried forward' to the next year subject to the deduction limit for that particular year.

The first question one would ask is - Why would I want an LFS system?

As taken from the LFS site in Gerard Beekmans own words-

There are a lot of reasons why somebody would want to install an LFS system. The question most people raise is "why go through all the hassle of manually installing a Linux system from scratch when you can just download an existing distribution?". That is a valid question which I hope to answer for you.

The most important reason for LFS's existence is teaching people how a Linux system works internally. Building an LFS system teaches you about all that makes Linux tick, how things work together, and depend on each other. And most importantly, how to customize it to your own taste and needs.

One of the key benefits of LFS is that you are in control over your system without having to rely on somebody else's Linux implementation. You are in the driver's seat now and are able to dictate every single thing such as the directory layout and boot script setup. You will also know exactly where, why and how programs are installed.

Another benefit of LFS is that you can create a very compact Linux system. When you install a regular distribution, you end up installing a lot of programs you probably would never use. They're just sitting there taking up (precious) disk space. It's not hard to get an LFS system installed under 100 MB. Does that still sound like a lot? A few of us have been working on creating a very small embedded LFS system. We installed a system that was just enough to run the Apache web server; total disk space usage was approximately 8 MB. With further stripping, that can be brought down to 5 MB or less. Try that with a regular distribution.

If we were to compare a Linux distribution with a hamburger you buy at a supermarket or fast-food restaurant, you would end up eating it without knowing precisely what it is you are eating, whereas LFS gives you the ingredients to make a hamburger. drug interactions allows you to carefully inspect it, remove unwanted ingredients, and at the same time allow you to add ingredients to enhance the flavor of your hamburger. When you are satisfied with the ingredients, you go on to the next part of putting it together. You now have the chance to make it just the way you like it: broil it, bake it, deep-fry it, barbecue it, or eat it raw.

Another analogy that we can use is that of comparing LFS with a finished house. LFS will give you the skeleton of a house, but it's up to you to install plumbing, electrical outlets, kitchen, bathtub, wallpaper, etc.

Another advantage of a custom built Linux system is added security. You will compile the entire system from source, thus allowing you to audit everything, if you wish to do so, and apply all the security patches you want or need to apply. You don't have to wait for somebody else to provide a new binary package that fixes a security hole. Besides, you have no guarantee that the new package actually fixes the problem (adequately). You never truly know whether a security hole is fixed or not unless you do it yourself.

One of the reasons why Macs perform better than the Intels is that the software is made specifically for the hardware hence one gets all the benefits of the hardware. However with most of the intel based systems everything is written for i386 and because the newer processor is faster one sees better performance but never the peak performance that these modern processors are capable of. LFS can change this one aspect to a great extent. Generally LFS is compiled on the target system. This means that the software can be compiled for the particular hardware thus resulting in maximum performance. Until I was exposed to LFS I used to use the fastest processors with the maximum amount of RAM I could afford. But now I am happy with a PIII 800. I run the latest kernel as well as KDE and most of the heavy apps that one can think of and yet I feel good about the computer. And in this case Speed thrills and yet it doesn't kill. Or maybe it kills the other distros. ;-)

Now that we are all convinced that LFS is the way to go, we'll talk about how to go about implementing LFS. To make our own distro we would first need to have a good Linux system in place. For that matter we can have any system which can compile the Linux code i.e. a GNU system with a GNU C++ compiler should do the trick. This is called the host system. The host system can be any flavor of Linux such as Redhat, Fedora, Debian , Slackware etc. or any Unix such as FreeBSD, NetBSD etc.. The host system should have a compiler, linker and shell to build the new system. The host system should also be able to read and write on a file system which is recognized by the Linux kernel such as ext3, ReiserFS, XFS etc.

Once a good host system with the required development environment is installed, the next step is to create an empty native linux partition where LFS would be compiled. This partition needs to be formatted with the required file system. A number of packages are then installed which would form the basic development suite or the toolchain. The toolchain is a temporary system which is then used to build the actual distro. The toolchain is built in two stages - first a host-independent statically built toolchain is installed with a compiler, assember, linker, libraries and other useful utilities. The other essential tools are then built on this first stage system.

The chroot (change root) program is then used to enter a virtual environment and start a new shell whose root directory will be set to the LFS partition. The LFS packages are then compiled inside this chrooted environment after which the boot scripts are installed. Finally the kernel and the bootloader are installed and the machine is rebooted to the all new custom Linux distro.

The process may look a bit complicated but it is fun all the way and the results are really wonderful.

Heather Zuckerman can be classified as a juvenile fiction

Recruiter's Secret and use specific, pre-selected keywords. Were going
to build a more effective online profile that will draw far more
responses from Monster and other online sites.

So, lets get started.

Once you register on Monster, choose: "Build Your Resume Online".

They allow you to set up 5 different resumes or profiles. Let's just
set one up for now. There are only 5 major areas that we will be
concerned with here:

1. Target Job Title
2. Objective
3. Resume Title
4. Job Title
5. Work Experience

Tip: every one of these fields has keyword capability, so you must use
each of these areas to the fullest extent by including as many keywords
as are relevant, for example:

Target Job Title: 2,880 character limit. That's almost 4/5's of a page,
if you were to fill it up! List as many different job titles as you can
imagine for this role. List other closely allied titles that the
searcher may be searching on. For instance, "Java Programmer" might
also be titled as "Software Engineer", "Application Developer", or
"Software Developer" within even the same corporation, not to mention
other companies. How many different but similar titles can you come up
with? Put them all here.

Objective: This is your stated job goal and has a 2,000 character
limit. Just as we talked about in yesterday's lesson, transfer that

Resume Title: Not much to work with here as only 70 characters are
allowed. Make it a key term that is most relevant and searchable.

Job Title: This (these) is (are) your current and past job titles and
has a 5,831 character limit. That's 1&1/2 pages!! Put as many relevant
titles as you can think of here that you have held in your past work
progression. There is a huge amount of space here, so you may want to
include specific job skill-sets that each of those titles required.
Don't be bashful.

Work Experience: 3,000 character limit. Here is where you make sure to
include every relevant skill-set that you possess. Keep to the bare
facts. Almost every word you put here should be a searchable term. You
want them to find you and here is your catchall chance to do it. Also,
since many employers are looking for people who French fries or are working
for certain companies or organizations, make sure that you list every
corporation that you have not only worked for but also have done
business with as a client.

Summary Dont rush this process. The online resume-builder will act as
both a resume and as a screening tool. This will gain you the edge as a
screen-in tool rather that a screen-out tool.
